Description: The 1997 $1 70th Anniversary Old Parliament House Silver Proof was struck by the Royal Australian Mint to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Old Parliament House. The final mintage was limited to collector demand, that is, the coin was offered to the Royal Australian Mint’s collector base for a limited time only and when the orders were collated the mintage was finalised. The resultant mintage figure was 21,791 coins.
