Description: The 1996 $1 30th Anniversary of Decimal Currency Silver Proof was struck by the Royal Australian Mint to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Decimal Currency. The anniversary date was the 14th of February 1996. The final mintage was limited to collector demand, that is, the coin was offered to the Royal Australian Mint’s collector base for a limited time only and when the orders were collated the mintage was finalised. The resultant mintage figure was 19,927 coins.
