2003 $1 Silver Proof Kangaroo

Description: The first design of the Australian $1 Silver Proof Kangaroo series was presented to the collector public and duly released by the Royal Australian Mint in 1998. An annual release was to follow, and the series quickly became hugely popular, due in part to the purity of the coins silver content but also its ever-changing design. The One Dollar Silver Proof Australian Kangaroo coin remains a highly sought after issue on an annual basis, by both collector and investor. This 2003 One Dollar Silver Proof Kangaroo was the last of three designs, 2001 – 2003, that continued a theme of Aboriginal Art and Dreaming. A classic example of the Royal Australian Mint’s ability to continually raise the bar from a design perspective, year after year.
