1988 $2 Aboriginal Silver Proof

Description: The 1988 $2 Aboriginal Silver Proof was the very first proof two-dollar coin released in Australia. Produced by the Royal Australian Mint to a mintage of 45,000 the coin was struck to commemorate the opening of the new Parliament House. The silver proof coins design features the head and shoulders of an Aboriginal Australian, the Southern Cross and Australian Flora.
